ANNUAL INSPECTION In Germany, regular annual inspections must be carried out in
accordance with the requirements of the federal pollution limits
(1.BImschV).
BEFORE THE MEASUREMENT
1. Clean the heating system.
✎ See chapter “7 Cleaning and maintaining the heating system”,
section “7.1 Cleaning and maintenance schedule”.
2. Check that the lambda sensor is securely mounted and tighten it
if necessary.

section “7.2 Procedure”.
Once the chimney sweep is ready for the measurement:
3. Press the Mode button repeatedly until the CHIMNEY SWEEP
TEST symbol flashes.
✓ The operating mode CHIMNEY SWEEP TEST has been
preselected.
4. Press the Enter button.
✓ The operating mode CHIMNEY SWEEP TEST has been confirmed.
✓ The CHIMNEY SWEEP TEST symbol lights up.
✓ The heating system switches to CHIMNEY SWEEP TEST mode.
✓ If the HDG Hydronic equipment is connected, all of the loads will
automatically be activated to maximise the heat transfer.
✓ The display will show No test yet.
DURING THE MEASUREMENT
Please observe the following when carrying out the chimney sweep
test:
• Make sure that there is sufficient material in the pellet bunker to
avoid having to interrupt the measurement for reloading.
• No fault should be present in the system.
When starting the test, the boiler temperature should not exceed
75 °C. If there is an accumulator, its temperature should not exceed
60 °C. Ensure there is sufficient heating demand placed on the
heating circuit.
Having the measurement repeated by the combustion engineer or
by HDG specialists will incur charges.
