Working with the library list
The library list in the top half of the page provides up to 9 columns of details.
• To sort the list according to a column, click on the column heading and select Sort Ascending
or Sort Descending.
• To hide or show columns, click on any column heading, select Columns and uncheck or check
the required columns.
• Users with an Admin login may also create libraries. Click Create.

DescriptionParameter
This is the name that is used to identify that device (library). It is often helpful to use a
name that identifies the host or backup job with which it is associated.
Name
This is the role of the library, which may be non-replicating, replication source or
replication target
Replication Role
This is the status of the library, which may be online, offline, notstarted or failed to start.Status
This is the emulation type used by the backup software. It is selected when you create a
device.
Device Type
This is the number of cartridges available on the device, which is determined by the
Emulation Type selected when the device was created. You can reduce the number of
Cartridges
slots in the Device Details tab for a library selected on this page, but this will only remove
the highest blank slots. Once it reaches a slot number that contains data, it will not allow
you to reduce the number further on this page, even if earlier slots are blank. You must
first use the Cartridges tab to make the slot blank.
This identifies the port to which the host is connected for backup and restore. The number
of ports available in the drop-down menu depends upon your network configuration.

This is the amount of user data stored on the library.User data stored
This is the actual size on disk (after deduplication).Size on disk
The service set (or node) to which the library belongs.Service set
