Rebuilding RAID sets
When three or more disks have failed, the RAID will fail. After disk replacement the RAID must be
rebuilt using the Rebuild this RAID set button on the appropriate RAID set page. This button is
available at all times, but will always warn you that a RAID rebuild is a destructive operation that
will result in data loss. You must confirm if you wish to proceed with the action. Please see Hard
disk replacement (page 133) for more information about replacing disks and building RAID sets.
Possible Jobtype states
The JobType will show these jobs running on the disk if applicable.
DRSC: The disk is being scrubbed
EXPD: The vdisk is being expanded
INIT: The vdisk is being initialized
RCON: The vdisk is being reconstructed
VRFY: The vdisk is being verified
VRSC: The vdisk is being scrubbed
Monitoring switches
There is an entry for each switch. The following installed hardware components are included under
the tree hierarchy for each switch:
• Fan: this is the fan within the switch
• Power supply: there are two power supplies for each switch, each has its own entry
• Switch temperature: this is the temperature of the switch
