2. Remove the dust plug or protective cover from the transceiver.
3. Connect a compatible LAN segment cable to the transceiver.
4. Make sure that the NIC link LED on the port is solid green.

5. If needed, see the transceiver documentation for the model-specific fastening mechanism applicable to the transceiver.

The server supports redundant fan option (P47219-B21) for bay 1 and second processor fan options (P47902-B21) for bays 5–8. Both
options use the same fan.

In a single-processor, nonredundant configuration, fans 2–4 are preinstalled in the fan cage while fan blank is preinstalled in bay 1.
Dual-processor, nonredundant configuration requires a fan option in bay 1.
To enable the single- or dual-processor redundant fan mode, install fan options in bay 1 and bays 5–8.
To maintain proper system cooling, install the correct fan required for specific hardware components:
