Extend the server from the rack .
Remove the server from the rack .
6. Remove the access panel .
7. If installing the fan 1, remove the fan blank.
8. Install the fan:
a. Lower the fan into the bay (callout 1).
b. Press down on the fan to make sure that it is seated firmly in the bay (callout 2).
A click sound indicates that the fan is properly engaged.
9. Install the access panel
10. Do one of the following:
Orient the server back in tower mode .
