11.3 Replacing an Outdoor Fan
Prerequisites
● Recommended tools and materials: torque wrench, hex key, Phillips
screwdriver, socket wrench, small at-head screwdriver (2 mm), diagonal
pliers, cable ties, and new fan
● Preparations: Shut down the system and cut o external power supplies.
Procedure
Step 1 Tap Shutdown on the home screen of the controller, and turn o the active route
switch QF1, standby route switch QF2, and outdoor unit fan circuit breaker.
Step 2 Cut the cable ties that secure fan cables using diagonal pliers.
Step 3 Remove the fan wiring box cover (Torque < 2 N·m) using a Phillips screwdriver, as
shown by (1) in Figure 11-6 and remove four cable terminals using a small
at-
head screwdriver.

Step 4 Loosen the waterproof cable terminal, as shown by (2) in Figure 11-6, and pull
the cable out of the wiring box.
Step 5 Remove the four screws that secure the fan guard using a socket wrench, as
shown by (3) in Figure 11-6, and take o the fan and guard.
Step 6 Remove the four screws that connect the fan and guard using a hex key, and take
o the faulty fan.
