8. Install any of the following components that you removed from the system
board:
v Battery (see “Replacing the system battery” on page 281).
v DIMMs (see “Replacing a memory module” on page 274).
v Microprocessor and heat sink (see “Replacing the microprocessor and heat
sink” on page 304).
v Adapters (see “Replacing an adapter” on page 269).
v USB embedded hypervisor flash device (see “Replacing the USB embedded
hypervisor flash device” on page 230).
9. Reconnect any cables to the system board that you disconnected during
removal (see “System-board internal connectors” on page 30).
10. Secure the cables with the retention-clips.
11. Press the hard disk drive cage in until the release latches click into place.
12. Install the air baffle (see “Replacing the air baffle” on page 185).
13. Install the side cover (see “Replacing the side cover” on page 182).
14. Stand the server back up in its vertical position.
15. Install bezel (see “Replacing the bezel” on page 188).
16. Reconnect the external cables and power cords; then, turn on the attached
devices and turn on the server.
Important: Perform the following updates:
v Either update the server with the latest RAID firmware or restore the
pre-existing firmware from a diskette or CD image.
v Update the UUID (see “Updating the Universal Unique Identifier (UUID)”
on page 113).
