Data Input
In order to enter letters and characters during transactions or ‘Function Codes’
the user should press the corresponding button on the keypad until the required
value is displayed.
Example:
To enter the name EMMA the user should press the following buttons on the
keypad:
1) Press the numeric button 3 (3 times) until ‘E’ is displayed
2) Press the numeric button 6 (2 times) until ‘M’ is displayed
3) Wait two seconds and then Press the numeric button 6 (another 2
times) until a second ‘M’ is displayed
4) Press the numeric button 2 (2 times) until ‘A’ is displayed
5) Press to confirm
Terminal will allocate a ‘Waiter Code’ and print a short receipt
Note: All characters are in ‘Upper Case’ only.
Pressing any of the following buttons during data entry will have the following
effect:
Will clear all of the data entered.
Will act like a backspace i.e. it will clear one character/digit at a time.
Will submit the data entered.
