The Serial Interface Board adds two serial communication ports
("uart2:" and "uart3:") to the standard serial communication port
("uart1:").
The Serial Interface Board may either be bought separately as a kit
complete with installation instructions, or be factory installed.
With the Serial Interface Board installed, the following types of
interfaces can be selected:

Fitted on printer's CPU pcb.
RS 232C Standard
20 mA Current Loop Option. Additional opto-couplers required.
"uart2:"
Fitted on serial interface pcb.
RS 232C
"uart3:"
Fitted on serial interface pcb.
RS 232C or 20 mA CL Select by strap.
