Installing and Removing QFX5110 Hardware Components
The QFX5110 switch chassis is a rigid sheet-metal structure that houses the hardware
components. The field-replaceable units (FRUs) in QFX5110 switches are:
•
Power supply
•
Fan module
•
SFP+ transceiver
•
QSFP+ transceiver
•
QSFP28 transceiver
All of the QFX5110 FRUs are hot-insertable and hot-removable: you can remove and
replace them without powering off the switch or disrupting switch functions.
CAUTION: Replace a failed power supply with a new power supply within 1
minuteof removalto prevent chassis overheating.Replace a failed fanmodule
with a new fan within 1 minute of removal to prevent chassis overheating.
To install a power supply in a QFX5110, follow the instructions in “Installing a Power
Supply in a QFX5110” on page 109. To remove a power supply from a QFX5110, follow the
instructions in “Removing a Power Supply from a QFX5110” on page 111.
To install a fan module in a QFX5110, follow the instructions in “Installing a Fan Module
