NOTE: The switch powers on as soon as you provide power to the PSU. There is no power
switch on the device.
5. Insert the power cord plug into an AC power source outlet.
6. If the AC power source outlet has a power switch, set it to the on (|) posion.
7. Verify that the AC and DC LEDs on each power supply are lit green.
If the status LED is lit amber, remove power from the power supply, and replace the power supply
("Maintain the QFX5240 Power System" on page 93). Do not remove the power supply unl you
have a replacement power supply ready: the power supplies must be installed in the switch to ensure
proper airow.

Ensure that you have an Ethernet cable that has an RJ-45 connector at either end. Figure 26 on page
83 shows the RJ-45 connector of the Ethernet cable.
