2. Remove the battery (batteries) and store in a frost-free room.

12.1.2 Long-term decommissioning
Decommissioning the machine for 5 months or longer.

➤ The following measures must be taken for long-term decommissioning.

➤ Check engine coolant level. 10.3.1
➤ Draining the engine oil Engine SM
➤ Draining the cooling oil from the separator tank and oil cooler. 10.4.3
➤ Filling the engine and oil separator tank with preserving oil. Engine SM

➤ Run the machine for about 10 minutes to coat all parts with a pro‐
tective oil film.

➤ Disconnect the battery, the minus terminal first and then the plus
terminal, and store in a frost-free room.

➤ Check the battery fluid level. 10.5.7
➤ Check the battery charge monthly and recharge if necessary to pre‐
vent the battery fluid freezing.

➤ Clean the battery terminals and coat with acid-resistant grease. –
➤ Close the compressed air outlet valves. –
➤ Cover the following openings with plastic foil and moisture-proof ad‐
hesive tape.
– Engine air intake
– Compressor air intake
– Exhaust discharge

➤ Clean the bodywork and treat with a preservative. –
➤ Hang a notice on the instrument panel informing of the decommis‐
sioning measurements taken.
