16. Check the Preview to ensure the following:
• The bottom of the mandible is at the bottom of the image.
• Overlay the iPAN visual aid (traingle with a 10
o
angle) over
the preview image to verify patient’s occlusal plane is
positioned properly at a 10
o
angle. The bottom of the
triangle should be parallel to the laser line, and the sloped
side of the triangle should roughly align from the back of
the smile line to the point where the patient is biting on the
bite tip.
• If alignment is not correct, lower the chair to lower the
degree of the angle or raise the chair to raise the degree of
the angle. Perform another Preview scan to check
positioning.
