17. When Patient is properly positioned,
click the Pan tab.
18. Make an Exposure selection by
determining the Patient’s head size.
Small is normally selected for young
children and small elderly females.
Large is for a normal size adult or
large child (head size).
19. Instruct the Patient to close lips
around the bite tip as if using a straw.
20. Before capturing the image, instruct
Patient to swallow and hold, putting
the tongue to the roof of the mouth
and holding for the duration of the
exposure.
The X-ray device may be dangerous to the Patient and operator if
you do not observe and follow the safe exposure factors and
operating instructions. Do not operate this system unless you have
received training to perform a procedure.
