Calibration for NA, CAT, and VVM Modes
Calibration Method Summary
Calibration Method Summary
— O,S,L is ALWAYS the most accurate Cal method. The quality of a O,S,L is
completely dependent on the quality of the OPEN, SHORT, LOAD standards.
Use the correct high quality standards to ensure the most accurate
calibration.
— QuickCal is ideal for DTF measurements. QuickCal should be performed
when good accuracy is required and when using a jumper cable or adapter.
— QuickCal is NOT recommended when the DUT has 3.5 mm-female or
SMA-female connectors.
— Even with the optional Load, phase accuracy begins to degrade when
the return loss is greater than about 20dB.
— Present Cal is ONLY useful for DUT connections made at the RF Out port
and most accurate at room temperature.
— For highest accuracy, a new QuickCal or O,S,L Cal should be performed:
— When the temperature changes more than about 10°F (5°C)
— When the connection to the DUT requires a different jumper cable or
adapters.
