Regenerative braking system
Operating Conditions
The system enters the operating
condition when the conditions below
are met:
䳜 T
he driver's door is closed.
䳜 The driver's seat belt is fastened.
To operate:
䳜 Pull and hold the left side paddle
shifter while coasting.
䳜 When the vehicle speed is above 2
mph (3 km/h),
release the paddle
shifter to return to the previously
set level.
䳜 W
hen the vehicle speed is below 2
mph (3 km/h),
the function main
-
tains control to stop the vehicle
even though the paddle shifter is
released.
䳜 W
hile the One pedal driving is in
activ
ation, the driver can control
the vehicle stopping position using
the accelerator pedal.
Automatic engagement of EPB
After the vehicle is stopped by the
One Pedal Driving function, EPB is
automatically engaged when any of
these conditions occur:
䳜 The driv
er's door is open.
䳜 The driver's seatbelt is unfas

tened.
䳜 The hood is open.
䳜 The liftgate is open.
䳜 5 minutes have
passed after the
vehicle has stopped.
䳜 The system operation is limited
du
e to other reasons.
䳜 Do not solely rely on one pedal
driving to stop the vehicle. Stop
-
ping the vehicle may not be possi
-
ble depending vehicle and road
conditions. Pay attention to the
road condition ahead and apply
the brake if necessary.
䳜 A
void increasing the regenerative
bra
king level suddenly on slippery
roads (like snow or icy conditions)
because it may lead slipping of
the tires and skidding of vehicle. It
can be dangerous due to the loss
of the vehicle's steering force.
