Vehicle modifications
This vehicle should not be modified.
Modification of your vehicle could
affect its performance, safety or
durability and may even violate gov

ernmental safety and emissions
regulations. In addition, damage or
performance problems resulting
from any modification may not be
covered under warranty.
䳜 If you use unauthorized electronic
devices, it may cause the vehicle
to operate abnormally, wire dam-
age, battery discharge and fire.
For your safety, do not use unau
-
thorized electronic devices.
Vehicle break-in process
No special break-in period is needed.
By following a few simple precau
-
tions for the first 600 miles (1,000
km) you may add to the perfor
-
mance, economy and life of your
vehicle.
䳜 Do not race the engine.
䳜 While driving, keep your engine
speed (rpm, or revolutions per
minute) between 2,000 rpm and
4,000 rpm.
䳜 Do not maintain a single engine
speed for long periods of time,
either fast or slow. Varying
engine speeds is needed to prop
-
erly break-in the engine.
䳜 Avoid hard stops, except in emer
-
gencies, to allow the brakes to
seat properly.
䳜 Don't tow a trailer during the first
1,200 miles (2,000 km) of opera
-
tion.
