Smart Cruise Control (SCC)
Turning cruise control off
Follow either of these procedures:
䳜 Press the button (The cruise
status on the LCD screen will dis

appear).
䳜 Turn the ignition off.
Both of these actions turn off cruise
control operation. If you want to
restart cruise control operation,
repeat the steps provided in "Set
-
ting Cruise Control speed" on page
5-119.
Smart Cruise Control (SCC) (if

Smart Cruise Control is designed to
detect the vehicle ahead and help
maintain the desired speed and
minimum distance between the
vehicle ahead.
Overtaking Acceleration Assist
While Smart Cruise Control is oper

ating, if the system judges that the
driver is determined to overtake the
vehicle in front, acceleration will be
assisted.
