Climate control air filter
5. Assemble in reverse order.
Replace the filter according to the
Maintenance Schedule.
If the vehicle is operated in
extremely dusty or sandy areas,
replace the element more often
than the usual recommended inter
-
vals. (Refer to "Maintenance Under
Severe Usage Conditions - Turbo
Models" on page 7-12.)
Air filter maintenance
䳜 Do not drive with the air cleaner
removed; this will result in exces

sive engine wear.
䳜 When removing the air cleaner fil
-
ter, be careful that dust or dirt
does not enter the air intake, or
damage may result.
䳜 Use a Kia genuine part. Use of a
non-genuine part could damage
the air flow sensor.
Climate control air filter
The climate control air filter should
be replaced according to the main
-
tenance schedule. If the vehicle is
operated in severely air-polluted
cities or on dusty rough roads for a
long period, it should be inspected
more frequently and replaced ear
-
lier.

When you replace the climate con󳚘
trol air filter, replace it performing
the following procedure. Be careful
to avoid damaging other compo

nents.
1. Open the glove box.
2. Remove the support rod (1).
