11.5.1 Door zone indicator
Door zone indicator must indicate that the elevator car is in
a door zone
before the car doors are opened. If the elevator
car is not in a door zone, trained elevator personnel must
move it to a door zone using technical rescue procedures. If
technical rescue fails, emergency rescue by specially
trained emergency personnel is needed.
NOTE! In rare cases the main power supply to the elevator
is unavailable and the emergency battery is empty. In such
case the position of the elevator car must be checked by
opening the landing door slightly (maximum of 100 mm).
Before opening the car doors it must be visually verified that
the passengers can be assisted to the landing without
causing a fall hazard.
11.5.2 Main switch
The main switch is used for switching electrical power to an
