B.2 Resetting pit safety device
The pit safety device must be reset after returning to the landing:
1. Go to the Maintenance Access Panel (MAP).
2. Switch on the Recall Drive Feature (RDF). (POS 270.)
3. Press down the reset lever.
4. Drive upwards on RDF: Press simultaneously
RDF RUN 270:RB, RDF 270:UP and 134:S
for at maximum of 3 seconds to reset the pit safety device.
CAUTION! Do not press the
buttons any longer than 3 seconds to avoid damaging the
coil of the reset device.
5. Switch off the Recall Drive Feature (RDF). (POS 270.)
The pit safety device is now reset.
NOTE
! This procedure does not apply to elevators which have the shaft access monitor
(SAM). If the SAM has detected access to shaft, it must be reset at the same time with the pit
safety device.
