10.6.2 Testing the lower limit switch

1 Go to the maintenance access panel.
2 Switch on the main switch. (220)
3 Switch off the Recall Drive Feature
(RDF).

4 Make a car call to the bottom floor from
MAP.

Carefully open the machine brakes with manual brake release lever in the MAP. The
elev
ator car moves down and the safety circuit LED (SAFETY INPUT, D49) goes off
in LCEUI.
WARNING! The speed can increase fast when you open the brake. When the
traction sheave starts to move, stop it by letting the brakes close every 0.5 – 1.0
second to prevent the elevator from accelerating to overspeed. Release the
brake release lever immediately if the second speed LED turns on (D67 UP).
Only one speed LED should be on during the release (*).

When the safety circuit LED (SAFETY
INPUT, D49) g
oes off in LCEUI, close
the brakes and switch on the Recall
Drive Feature (RDF). (POS 270).
6 Switch off the main switch (220).
7 Close and lock the maintenance access
panel.
