11 Check the operation of the car roof stop
switch.
1. Open the landing door with
emer
gency opening key.
2. Check that the elevator car is in a
su
itable position.
3. Standing on the landing, press the
stop switc
h.
4. Close the landing doors and check
that it is mechanically locked.
5. Check that the stop switch cuts the
safety circuit. (Make
a landing call.
The elevator must not move.) *
If the elevator has Shaft Access Monitor
(SAM), it must be reset.

Access Pane
l (MAP). The elevator must
not move. Close and lock the MAP.

4. Close the landing doors and check
that it is mechanically locked.
5. Check that the inspection drive
prevents the
normal drive. (Make a
landing call. The elevator must not
move.) *
