NOTE: After the images are merged together, the window/level function is for the whole image. Any adjustments
should be made before merging.
18.2 Merging Images Automatically
Before you can merge images automatically, you must have already created an Image Merge Group (refer to the Ultra
Administrator’s Manual).
1. Create a new exam and select the views that are included in the dened Image Merge Group that was created.
2. Capture the images.
3. Once you have acquired the images for the exam, left click the Merge icon to merge the images into one view.
4. Select a view to merge them under and click Choose. The merged view is then displayed as the view chosen.
NOTE: You must capture all images dened in the Image Merge Group. If all required images are not captured,
the image auto-merge process cannot complete.
NOTE: The nal merged image will not contain dose information.
5. If Auto Reject was selected in the Image Merge Group conguration, a reject prompt is displayed. If Auto Reject
was not selected, you must manually accept or reject each image.
NOTE: When “Auto Reject” is enabled, all original individual views used to create the grouped image are reject-
ed. However, you still need to accept the new merged view if applicable.
EXAMPLE: If you want to automatically merge the images for AP Ankles, OBL Ankles, and LAT Ankles into one
view, create an Image Merge Group that includes those three views. After the image merge group is created,
create an exam using the Ankle 3 view procedure and capture the AP Ankles, OBL Ankles, and LAT Ankles images.
After all images are captured, click the Merge icon to automatically merge the 3 views into one view.
