Global mode settings
Position settings
On the TRINITY series, you can transpose the pitch, and adjust the way in which velocity and
aftertouch affect the sound. These settings are made in Global mode P1 Position.
Position settings will also signicantly affect the way in which MIDI data is transmitted.
For details refer to Parameter Guide page 129 11b: Position.
When using an external keyboard or sequencer to control the TRINITY (i.e., when using the
TRINITY as a tone generator), select Pre TG.
When using the TRINITY as a master keyboard to control other tone generators, select Post KBD.
When you wish to send MIDI data that includes the Global mode settings:
Set the Position parameter to Post KBD.
The Transpose, velocity, and aftertouch settings will be applied immediately after the keyboard.
You can obtain the effect similar to when the player changes the pitch or velocity. The internal tone
generator will reect the settings, and the MIDI data to be transmitted will also change according
to the settings.
Transpose=0, Velocity curve=4, and Aftertouch curve=3 will be used for the received data.
When you wish to receive MIDI data that includes the settings:
Set the Position parameter to Pre TG.
The Transpose, velocity, and aftertouch settings will be applied immediately before the tone gen-
erator. You can obtain the effect similar to when the pitch, velocity, or aftertouch setting of the tone
generator is changed. The internal tone generator will reect the settings, and the received MIDI
data will also change according to the settings.
Transpose=0, Velocity curve=4, and Aftertouch curve=3 will be used for the data to be transmit-
ted.
