– Mount the engine sprocket with the chain.
– Position the new lock washer and mount nut but do not tighten yet.
– Position the rear wheel.
– Mount the chain adjuster and nut.
– Push the rear wheel forward so that the chain adjusters rest against the tensioning
screws, and tighten nut


– Have an assistant operate the rear brake.
– Tighten nut.
