11.2.1 General
The name and length of the trace are specified in this window.
Name of recording
A file name under which the trace will be saved later can be defined here. Do not use more
than seven characters because a further digit is added to the file name by the system in order
to distinguish different types of trace.
These trace files, with the extension TRC, can be found in the directory C:\KRC\ROBO-
TER\TRACE.
The numbers for the different trace types have the following meaning:
1 DSE data
3 Data relating to inputs/outputs
4 Interpolator data
5 Test data
Length of recording
Please enter an integer value here specifying the length of the trace in seconds.
If the entry exceeds the maximum permissible trace length (default: 999 seconds), a mes-
sage is generated in the message window when the recording begins. If this happens,
change the value accordingly.
The cycle rate for recording DSE data is 2 ms. 500 data sets are therefore generated per
second. Please take this volume of data into account when programming the length of the
trace.
