To Perform a Traceroute
Using Web Manager
To perform a Traceroute, click Diagnostics in the menu and select Traceroute.
Using the CLI
To enter the command level: enable, trace route <host>
Using XML
Not applicable.

To Configure the Diagnostic Log Output
Using Web Manager
To configure the Diagnostic Log output, click Diagnostics in the menu and select Log.
Using the CLI
To enter the command level: enable -> config -> diagnostics -> log
Using XML
Include in your file:
<configgroup name=”diagnostics”>
and
Diagnostics:
Traceroute Settings
Description
Host Enter the IP address or DNS hostname. This address is used to show the path
between it and the EDS-MD device when issuing the traceroute command.
Protocol Select the traceroute protocol from the drop-down menu.
Submit (button) Click the Submit button after entering traceroute information.
Diagnostics: Log Description
Output Select a diagnostic log output type:
Disable - Turn off the logging feature.
Filesystem - Directs logging to /log.txt.
Line (1 2 3 or 4) - Directs logging to the selected serial line.
Max Length Set the maximum length of the log.txt file in Kbytes.
Note: This setting becomes available when Filesystem is selected.
