Telnet Settings
The Telnet settings control CLI access to the EDS-MD 4/8/16 device server telnet over the Telnet
protocol.

To Configure Telnet CLI Settings
Using Web Manager
To configure Telnet settings, click CLI in the menu and select Configuration.
Using the CLI
To enter the Telnet command level: enable -> config -> cli -> Telnet
Using XML
Include in your file:
<configgroup name=”Telnet”>
and
<configitem name=”state”>
and
<configitem name=”authentication”>
SSH CLI Settings
The SSH settings control CLI access to the EDS-MD device over the SSH protocol.

Telnet Settings Description
Telnet State Select to enable or disable CLI access via Telnet
Telnet Port Enter an alternative Telnet Port to override the default used by the CLI server.
Blank the field to restore the default.
Telnet Max Sessions Specify the maximum number of concurrent Telnet sessions that will be allowed.
Telnet Authentication Select to enable or disable authentication for Telnet logins.
SSH Settings Description
SSH State Select to enable or disable CLI access via SSH.
SSH Port Specify the SSH Port and override the default, as needed. Blank the field to
restore the default.
SSH Max Sessions Specify the maximum number of concurrent SSH sessions that will be allowed.
