NEVER spray asphalt unless the
manhole hatch is closed securely.
NEVER operate the burners if the ue
tubes at the bottom of the tank are not covered with
at least three inches (7.6 cm) of material as they can
become too hot and ignite vapors.
DO NOT smoke near the unit. Fuel,
asphalt material and the associated fumes are
extremely ammable.
NEVER leave the distributor
unattended while heating asphalt material. The
operator should monitor controls to ensure
equipment is functioning properly and that material
does not heat beyond the appropriate spraying
temperature.
DO NOT operate the burner while the
distributor is moving or in transit to the work site.
The burner ue tubes at bottom of tank can become
exposed and result in ignition of material.
