Gasoline is highly ammable and
explosive. Keep heat, sparks and ame away and
DO NOT SMOKE near the fuel system. Wipe up fuel
spills immediately.
To empty the sediment cup:
1. Place an approved gasoline container below the
carburetor, inserting a funnel into the container to
avoid spilling fuel.
2. Remove the carburetor drain bolt and gasket.
(Figure 5-7)
3. Remove the sediment cup and O-ring. Empty the
cup contents in compliance with environmental
regulations.
4. Reinstall the O-ring, sediment cup and drain bolt,
tightening the cup and bolt securely.

The optional diesel engine is equipped with a fuel lter.
When changing the fuel lter, be sure to clean the area
carefully to ensure dirt does not enter the fuel line. The
fuel lter should be changed every 500 hours or every
six months, whichever comes rst.
NOTE: When the fuel lter is removed, a small
amount of fuel can spill. Be sure to collect
and escaping fuel and dispose of in
accordance with environmental law.
Dirt and dust particles can damage the
injection system. Maintain clean conditions while
servicing the fuel lter, ensuring dirt does not enter
the fuel line.

To change the fuel lter:
1. Open the fuel cap on top of the engine.
2. Pull the fuel lter cord to lift it out of the tank.
3. Remove lter from the fuel feed line and dispose of
lter properly.
4. Insert the new fuel lter onto the fuel feed line.
5. Reinsert the fuel lter assembly back into the fuel
tank.
6. Reinstall the fuel cap.
NOTE: The fuel system is bled automatically.
