Spark PlugSpark Plug
The gas engine is equipped with a spark plug, which
must be properly gapped and free of deposits for
optimum engine performance. The engine manufacturer
recommends BPR6ES (NGK) or W20EPR-U (DENSO)
spark plugs for this engine.
An incorrect or loose spark plug can
cause engine damage.
1. Disconnect the spark plug cap and clean the area
around it.
2. Using a 13/16 spark plug wrench, remove the spark
plug.
3. Inspect the spark plug, paying close attention to
whether the sealing washer or electrode is worn or
damaged. If not satised with spark plug condition,
discard and replace with new spark plug.
4. Measure the spark plug electrode gap with a
wire feeler gauge. Correct the gap is needed by
carefully bending the side electrode. The gap
should be .028 - .031 inches (.70 - .80 millimeters).

threads in the cylinder head.

sealing washer.
7. Reattach the spark plug cap to the spark plug.
