ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Preparing for MaintenancePreparing for Maintenance
Always take the following steps to prepare for preventive
maintenance procedures:
• Park the distributor on an even surface, preferably
outside or in a well-ventilated area.
• Ensure the unit is secured. Prevent from rolling by
using wheel chocks on both sides of each tire (trailer-
mounted units only). (Page 4-27)
• Let the engine and exhaust system cool if needed.
• Read the instructions before you begin, and make
sure you have the proper tools.
If any maintenance must be
performed while the engine is running, DO NOT leave
the machine unattended.
