6. Remove the spray wand from its mount and place
a recycling container near the nozzle for collecting
the solvent.
7. Open the spray wand valve by pulling the valve lever
DOWN.
8. Alternate opening and closing the spray wand grip
valve a few times, ensuring the solvent material
sprays into the container. Then close valve by
turning it clockwise. Return spray wand to its mount.
9. Close the spray wand valve by pulling the valve lever
UP.
If equipped with the optional spray bar:
• Open the spray bar valve by pulling the valve
lever DOWN.
• Toggle the spray bar valve from Open (DOWN) to
close (UP) in one rapid motion two or three times,
making sure not to pause in the center.
• Close the spray bar valve by pulling the lever UP.
10. Close all valves on the tack distributor and shut off
the engine.
TOWING TO JOB SITES
Your trailer-mounted unit is equipped with a tow
package to tow the unit to and from job sites. The
three-inch (7.6 cm) pintle hook on the front of the trailer
attaches to a pintle-hook trailer hitch on the towing
vehicle.
The towing package also includes additional safety
features that includes safety chains and a break-away
system. The break-away system is designed to bring
the trailer safely to a stop by activating electric brakes
should the trailer be disconnected while being towed.
This type of safety system is required in most states on
trailers rated over 3,000 pounds. (Figure 4-23)
Before towing the unit, check state,
federal and local laws that apply to towing/transport
on public roads and highways.

NEVER use your tow vehicle or trailer
brakes alone to stop the combined load.
Improper towing methods and
equipment can result in severe personal injury or
death.
Block trailer wheels on both sides
using wheel chocks to prevent the unit from rolling
while preparing for towing. (Page 4-26)
ALWAYS attach the safety chains to
the towing vehicle and ensure the hitch connection is
secure BEFORE towing.
