NOTICE
Start-up configuration of the switching inputs and outputs!
Ä The configuration for switching inputs and outputs SWIO1 and SWIO2 is generally per-
formed via the GSDML file.
The settings configured with the webConfig tool that differ from the GSDML configuration
are overwritten on start-up by the PROFINET master with the settings made via the GSDML
file. Settings that cannot be configured via PROFINET, e.g., time behavior functions, are not
overwritten.
Ä The PROFINET modules4 and 5 configure switching inputs and outputs (I/Os) SWIO1 and
SWIO2 (see chapter 8.4.6 "Module4–Input/output IO1" and see chapter 8.4.7 "Mod-
ule5–Input/output IO2"), e.g.
ð whether SWIO1 and SWIO2 operate as input or output
ð which events act on the output
ð the function of the input
Time behavior functions of the switching inputs/outputs
The time behavior functions (e.g., start-up delay) can only be configured with the webConfig tool.
The configuration of the time behavior functions is not overwritten by the PROFINET master on start-up.
• Start-up delay
With this setting, the output pulse is delayed by the specified time (in ms).
• Switch-on time
Defines the switch-on time period for the switching input. Any activated switch-off function then no
longer has any function.
If the output is deactivated via the switch-off signal before the start-up delay lapses, only a brief pulse
appears at the output following the start-up delay.
