Understanding the MFP control panel messages
Resetting the
Printer
The MFP is resetting to the current
default settings. Any active print
jobs are canceled.
Wait for the message to clear.
Scan next page
Done
Cancel
The last page submitted has been
scanned.
Place your next original on the scanner
flatbed, highlight Scan next page and
press
✓.
Highlight Done and then press
✓ to finish
the job.
Highlight Cancel and then press
✓ to
cancel the job.
Scanner ADF Cover Open The scanner document feeder
cover is open.
Close the cover.
Scanner locked,
release lock under
scanner
The protective scanner carriage
lock is engaged.
Turn the MFP off and release the lock.
Refer to the Setup Guide for more
information.
Scanning . . . Your document is being scanned. Press
✓ to cancel scan.
Searching . . . The system is searching the stored
shortcuts for a match to your entry.
No action required.
Searching for
Shortcut #<x>
Cancel
The system is searching for a
shortcut matching your entry.
Wait for the search to complete.
Highlight Cancel and press
✓ to begin
typing a new entry.
Selected jobs
deleted.
The held jobs you selected have
been deleted.

print.
No action required.
Sending Page The displayed fax page number is
being sent.
No action required.
Server connection
failed
The device failed to connect to the
network server.
For e-mail, make sure the device is
configured correctly for e-mail, and make
sure the e-mail server is working properly.
For FTP, make sure the device is
configured correctly for FTP, the
username and password are correct, and
the FTP server is working properly.
For Scan to PC, make sure the Scan to
PC applet is running on the PC, and any
firewalls are correctly configured
(Windows XP has a default firewall; see
your support person if necessary).
For Lexmark Document Solutions Suite,
verify the host machine containing the
Lexmark Document Solutions Suite server
is up and running.
