Introduction
The Spraytec system should initially be commissioned by Malvern trained
personnel. This appendix shows how to re-install the system, typically required
under the following circumstances:

Moving the instrument if the system has to be moved from one labora
-
tory to another, read the information in this appendix to reconnect the sys
-
tem correctly.

Changing the computer it may be company policy to upgrade comput
-
ers periodically. Detail is given on the procedure.
Only install the system in a suitable environment as detailed in Appendix C - Site
Requirements.
Moving the instrument
Handle the instrument carefully and do not subject it to any strong physical
shock.

Warning!
Short distance movements
If moving the system just within a room:

Power off all components and accessories.

Disconnect the mains power cable from the Spraytec.
.
The instrument can be moved with the Transmitter and Receiver mounted
on the X-bar, so long as this is done with care as described in the warning
above.

Spraytec Page E.1
Use proper lifting techniques and at least two people to avoid back
injury. One person must support each module on the X-bar. Always lift
the instrument by holding it under its base.
Never lift an instrument by precision parts such as the lens, or by its
covers.
