2. INTRODUCTION
In this manual you will find information about the installation, use and
maintenance of the hot-melt adhesive melter in Meler’s ‘Micron gear’ series
(hereinafter also referred only as Micron).
This melters series includes the 5, 10, 20 and 35 liter range of hot-melt
adhesive melters.
Most of the photographs and illustrations that appear in this manual refer
to the 5-liter Micron melter. This model has been used as a reference for
writing this manual as its main characteristics, with the exception of the tank
capacity and the connection outputs are the same as those in the rest of the
equipments of the serie.
Description
These melters are designed for use with Meler hoses and applicators in hot-
melt adhesive applications. Their different variations – line, coating or swirl-
spray – cover a wide range of applications, being very versatile in all markets
where they are used.
