tionsandcomponentsforgasolineleaks.Repair
anyfuelleaksBEFOREstartingoutboard.

Whenengineisstarted,IMMEDIATELYcheck
thatwaterpumpisoperating.Operationofwater
pumpisindicatedbywaterdischargingfrom“tell
tale”.
Whiletestrunningoutboard,checkpowerheadas-
semblyforleaksand/orunusualnoises.Makeanyre-
pairsBEFOREplacingoutboardinservice.

tion.Duringthefirsthourofoperation,avoidremain-

andavoidsustainedwideopenthrottle.
