Do not place your fingers inside the heating stations; the stations may be
hot enough to cause burns.
Gas Flow Control Knobs Each heating station has a gas flow valve that con-
trols the flow of gas to the station.
When the gas pressure is set to 15 psi (103 kPa)
and a valve is fully opened, the gas flow rate will
be approximately 100 cm
3
/min.
You may check the flow rate by inserting the gas
delivery tube in a beaker of water and observing
the bubbles in the water as you adjust the gas
flow control knob.
If you wish to measure the flow rate, use a preci-
sion flow meter.
