MM098-002 – LOGOS ONE – Operator Manual
Rack CANNOT be positioned inside the cavity when running the “FAST” cleaning cycle,
but it must be cleaned outside the cavity.
The cleaning procedure based on the 2 tanks cleaning reagents (“Isopar-Eth” or “Xyl-Eth”) is suggested
when all other 7 tanks positioned in the LOGOS ONE drawer are already in use for processing, and this
makes impossible the use of 3 tanks for cleaning.
To start the cleaning cycle later, press “Exit” and go to the Main menu.
When ready to start the cleaning cycle, press “Cleaning” from the Main Menu, then “Main cavity cleaning”.
Only one program can be chosen by default and will be the one that starts automatically.
The same for the Wax Cleaning cycle, only one is set by default and all the calculation for wax and
chambers availability are done on that cycle.
3.3.1 Tanks for process and main cavity cleaning
CASE 1:
- HistosMATE available to clean the rack only 2 cleaning tanks required AND
- Specimens to be processed include big routine samples 2 isopropanols are required in overnight run
In this case it is suggested to choose:
GROUP WITH 2 RINSINGS
CLEANING ISOPARAFFIN or XYLENE
It is also possible to clean the rack (WITHOUT cassettes) inside the Main cavity, for further
information see the chapter 7.2.1.
If you perform a cleaning cycle with 3 tanks, “Isopar-Eth-Water” or “Xyl-Eth-Water”, it’s
required to use a clean tank (to be filled with tap water), which must be either supplied
locally or purchased directly from the manufacturer (for details see Chapter 8).
If you perform a cleaning cycle with only 2 tanks, “Isopar/Eth” or “Xyl/Eth”, without the
step of water, at the end of the cleaning protocol it is required to dry the Main cavity using
paper towel.
If you perform a cleaning cycle with only 2 tanks, without the step of water, make sure to
leave the Main cavity cover open for at least 30 minutes before starting a new processing
run.
