plytankandinjectionpumpsothatthevalvesdirectow
fromthetanktowardsthepump.Ensureanytankvalves,
llstationvalves,rinsevalves,anddrainvalvesareinthe
correctposition.Besurethattheteehandlevalve(2)is
pointedatthesupplyline.

Setthehandvalve(1)ontheinjectionpumpoutlettore-
circulatechemicalbacktothesupplytank.

Lifttheplungerhandleonthepumpcalibrator(if
equipped)tothetopofthecalibrationcylinder.
Verifythefollowingconditionsexist:
Injectionpressureislessthan82.7kPa(12.0psi).
Pumpisoff.
Vacuumpressureislessthan29.2cm(11.5in)ofmer-
cury.
NOTE:Thevacuumswitchonthepumpwillengageand
aowalarmwilldisplayiftheproductcannotbedrawn
intothepumpe/gvacuumpressureatorabove29.2cm
(11.5in)ofmercury.Checkscreens,chemicaltanklids,
hosediameterandanyhandvalvesbetweenthechemical
tankandpumpinlet.Also,verifythattheproductisow-
ingfreely.Coldtemperaturesandhighviscosityproducts
maycausehighvacuumpressuresandcausethepump
tonotoperateproperly.
