Anaircompressorisavailableasanoption.Theaircom-
pressorislocatedontherightsideoftheengine.Theair
compressorisusedforthefoammarkersystemandthe
boomblow-outoption.

Aircompressordischargeinspection
Allaircompressorshaveasmallamountoflubricatingoilcarryoverwhichlubricatesthepistonringsandmoving
parts.Whenthislubricatingoilisexposedtonormalaircompressoroperatingtemperaturesoveraperiodoftime,
thelubricatingoilwillformvarnishorcarbondeposits.Ifthefollowinginspectionsarenotdone,theaircompressor
pistonringswillbeaffectedbyhighoperatingtemperaturesandpressuresandwillnotsealcorrectly.Locatetheair
systemtanklocatedinsidetherightrearcorneroftheenginecompartment.
Opentheremotepetcock(1)locatedontherightside
framejustinfrontoftheairtank.Draintheairsystem
toremoveallairpressurefromthesystem.

Removetheairdischargeline(1)fromtheaircompressor.
Measurethetotalcarbondepositthicknessinsidetheair
dischargeline.
Ifthetotalcarbondepositthicknessexceeds2mm
(0.08in),cleanandinspecttheaircompressorcylinder
head,thevalveassemblyandthedischargeline.Re-
placeifnecessary.
