Thefollowingstepsmustbefollowedwhenstoringthe
vehicleforextendedperiodsoftime.
1.Changeengineoilandlter.Referto7-70
2.Washthevehiclethoroughlytakingspecialcaretore-
moveallchemicals,fertilizer,greaseandoil.Rinsethe
outsideofthetankthoroughly.Cleanmudfromaxle
legsandpivots,andplanetaryhubareas.Washthe
boomandcentersection.
3.DoNOTleavetheboompartlyunfolded.Withtheve-
hicleatacompletestop,completelyfoldtheboomand
placeintothetransportcradles.
4.Installthesafetystopsontotheliftcylinders.
4.Parkthemachineinacool,dryarea.Positiontheve-
hicleasitwillbestored.
5.ApplyWD-40®,asarustpreventative,totheexposed
areasofthecylinderrods.

Identifyallexposedcylinderrodareas.
•
Removealldirt,greaseorothercontaminantsfrom
therodsurfacebyusingasoftclothdampenedwith
anappropriateoilbasedsolvent.
•
Exposedrodsurfacesshouldbecleanedpriorto
coating.
•
Inspecttherodsurfaceforanynoticeablesurface
defects.
•
ApplyacoatingofWD-40®,asarustpreventative,
toallexposedrodsurfaces.
•
Periodically,inspecttherodsurfacesandapplyad-
ditionalWD-40®asneeded.
6.Lubricatethemachinebeforeplacingintostorage.Re-
fertothefollowinglubricationprocedureslistedbelow:
