NOTE:Awater-in-fuelsensorisinstalledinthebottomoftheprimaryfuellter(waterseparator).Whenwatercovers
thesensor,theArmrestdisplaywillshowawaterinfuelwarning.
1.Drivethevehicleontoahardlevelsurface.
2.Stopthevehicleandapplytheparkbrake.
3.Turnofftheengineandremovethekeyfromtheigni-
tion.
4.Allowtheenginetocoolbeforeperformingthemainte-
nance.
5.Accesstheundersideoftheenginebayarea.Unlatch
andopentheenginebellypandoorstoaccessthelter.
Theprimaryfuellter/waterseparator(1)ismounted
insidetherightframerailnexttotheengine.
6.Disconnectthewireharnessconnector(2)fromthe
sensorlocatedatthebottomofthelterhousing.Press
theretainerclipinwardandpulldownontheconnector
todisconnect.
7.Turnthedrainhousing(3)totheleftapproximatelyone
turnuntilliquidcomesoutofthedrainpipe.Collectthe
uidsinanappropriatecontainer.Disposeoftheuid
properly.
8.Oncetheuidhasdrained,turnthedrainhousingtothe
righttotighten.Reconnectthewireharnessconnector
tothesensor.

WARNING
Burnhazard!
Hotcoolantcansprayandscaldifyouremovetheradiatorordeaerationtankcapwhilethesystem
ishot.Toremovethecap:allowthesystemtocool,turnthecaptotherstnotch,andwaitforall
pressuretorelease.Removethecaponlyafterallpressurehasreleased.
Failuretocomplycouldresultindeathorseriousinjury.

NOTE:Yourvehicleisequippedwithacoolantlevelsensor,whichwillautomaticallydetectandwarntheoperator
whenthecoolantlevelistoolow.Thefollowingprocedureisanalternatewaytocheckthecoolantlevel
1.Drivethevehicleontoahardlevelsurface.
2.Stopthevehicleandapplytheparkbrake.
3.Turnofftheengineandremovethekeyfromtheigni-
tion.
4.Allowtheengineandcoolingpackagetocoolbefore
performingthemaintenance.
