3.4 Intended use
MiR250 Dynamic is intended to be commissioned and used in indoor industrial environments
where access for the public is restricted. For details about the environmental conditions in which
MiR250 Dynamic should operate, see Specifications.
MiR250 Dynamic is intended to be designed, commissioned, and integrated into a robot system
by a system manufacturer.
Commissioning and risk assessment of the robot system is a prerequisite for safe usage of
MiR250 Dynamic. Guidelines outlined in this manual will not provide adequate risk reduction. A
complete risk assessment is required.
MiR250 Dynamic is equipped with safety-related features that are purposely designed for
collaborative operation in a space not limited by perimeter safeguards, such as fixed guards or
safety light curtains.
Any use or application deviating from intended use is deemed to be impermissible misuse—see
"Foreseeable misuse" below.
3.5 Foreseeable misuse
Any use of MiR250 Dynamic deviating from the intended use is deemed as misuse. This includes,
but is not limited to:

Using the robot to transport people
l
Using the robot on inclines outside the robot's specifications
l
Driving the robot on cross slopes
l
Exceeding the maximum payload
l
Positioning or fastening loads incorrectly according to the specifications
l
Using Emergency stop buttons for anything other than emergency stops
l
Using the robot before performing a risk assessment
l
Using the robot in medical and life critical applications
l
Operating the robot outside the permissible operating parameters and environmental
specifications
l
Using the robot in potentially explosive ATEX environments
