4. VALVE GUIDES
(1) Measure the clearance between the valve guide a n d valve
stem. If the clearance exceeds the specified limit, replace
either or both components.

Exhaust SOHC 12-VALVE 0.035 - 0.050 0.15

DOHC 0.030 - 0.062 0.15
5. VALVE SEATS
(1) Assemble the valve, then measure the valve stem
projection between the e n d of the valve stem and the
spring seating surface. If the measurement exceeds the
specified limit, replace the valve seat.
