2.1 Inspecting oil pump
2.1.1 Measuring clearance between oil pump
housing inside diameter and oil pump outer
gear outside diameter
Measure the clearance using thickness gauges. Replace the
gear or housing if the limit is exceeded.
Measuring clearance between oil pump housing inside
diameter
and oil pump outer gear outside diameter
2.1.2 Measuring the end clearance between oil
pump outer gear width and oil pump hous-
ing depth
Measure the end clearance using feeler gauges. Replace the
gear or housing if the limit is exceeded.
Measuring the difference between oil pump outer gear
