2.9.6 Adjusting pinion shaft end play
Adjust the end play (thrust gap) to 0.5 mm [0.0197 in.] or
less by inserting adjusting washers between the center
bracket and reduction gear.
(1) Install the pinion shaft, reduction gear, washer and snap
ring onto the center bracket.
(2) Measure the pinion shaft end play by moving the shaft
in the axial direction.
If the measured value exceeds 0.5 mm [0.0197 in.],
make an adjustment by adding adjusting washer(s).

2.9.7 Installing bearing
Install the bearings on both ends of the armature.

2.9.8 Installing armature, yoke, brush and brush
holder
(1) Align the knock pin with the center bracket and
reassemble the armature to the yoke.
(2) Reassemble the brush holder and brushes.
