6.10.4.1 DGA measurement cycle interval
The DGA measurement cycle interval defines the time range between the start of the measurement
and the start of the following measurement cycle. As per the factory settings, the MSENSE® DGA 9
starts the measurement cycles in a standard interval of 60 minutes. The measurement cycle starts
synchronously with the time either at xx: 00, xx: 20 or xx: 40.
Instead of the standard 60-minute interval, the DGA measurement cycle interval can be increased to
2, 4, 8, 12 or 24 hours. The measurement cycle begins synchronously with the time (full hour). The
starting reference is 00:00.
Interval [h]
In the Interval [h] selection field, the following interval values can be selected:
- (* Deactivated*) - Standard interval every 60 minutes
2, 4 (factory setting), 8, 12 or 24
Start time offset [h]
Using the start time offset [h] option, the start time of an interval can be shifted by whole hours.
Input range: 0 ... (Interval - 1) [h]

Remark: The measurement values are available no later than 60 minutes after the start of the meas-
urement.
6.10.4.1.1 Dynamic DGA measurement cycle interval
Up to version V1.50-B0001 the measurement cycle was fixed at 60 minutes. Thereafter, it is pos-
sible to switch over to a slower measuring cycle. The desired time span can be set by the user
(standard setting 4 hours).
Switching to a slower measurement cycle takes place automatically when a stable measurement
is detected. The slow measurement cycle also automatically switches to the fast / normal meas-
urement when a significant change in the measurements is detected.
